Seit kurzem steht das erste Add-on zu Neverwinter Nights 2 in den Läden und natürlich nehmen wir es auch in unserem Gamelab unter die Lupe. Als gestandener Rollenspiel- und Redakteur-Veteran bin ich schon seit Tagen in Faerûn unterwegs, um für Sie frische Screenshots anzufertigen. Den fertigen Test gibt es in der kommenden Ausgabe 12/07 zu lesen.

With the attention of the gaming world focusing more and more on the latest massively multiplayer role-playing games, traditional RPGs aren’t getting much of a look in. Nevertheless, fans of the genre haven’t exactly been deprived as last year’s Neverwinter Nights 2 brought together elements of strategy, adventure and persistent online play in one robust and highly modifiable package.

Mask of the Betrayer picks up the story where Neverwinter Nights 2 left off ... sort of. Obsidian paid a lot of attention what fans of NWN2 wanted and incorporated those wishes into the next iteration in the franchise. The result is a PC title from Atari and Obsidian that will certainly please fans of the series while giving newcomers to the license plenty to get excited about.

Noch in diesem Jahr soll mit Mask of the Betrayer das erste Addon zum Rollenspiel-Hit Neverwinter Nights 2 erscheinen. Höchste Zeit also, einen näheren Blick darauf zu werfen - und auf die zahlreichen neuen Möglichkeiten zur Charakterentwicklung, die den Spieler erwarten.
