An old friend has come home and while age may be showing just a bit, still it is a welcomed visit.
BioWare has released Neverwinter Nights Diamond, which is both something new and something old. The pack is a compilation of the Neverwinter Nights saga, as it now stands, with the original title and the two expansions – Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark.

I believe that this game was made to appeal more to those who are willing to take it online with a group of friends than the lone offline gamer. Not to say that there isn't still fun to be had solo, it's just that much like a MMORPG, to get the full enjoyment out of Neverwinter Nights you are probably going to want to experience it with others.

Was sollen etwa die Vierkant-Levels?

So here it is. The one RPG to the rule them all. And bind them ... in the darkness ... or something. Seriously, Bioware first commenced work on this game almost five years ago back when Baldur's Gate was but a twinkle in their bearded eyes. The premise behind Neverwinter Nights? To create a set of tools that would allow us, the players, to recreate the immensely popular Dungeons and Dragons RPG experience on our PCs, complete with a highly user friendly 'construction kit' style world builder and support for live Dungeon Masters. In short, an RPG of ever increasing proportions delivering the power of game creation to the masses.

It seems like Bioware has spent a lot of time working on their online system, what with the Aurora tools, DM client, and gameplay that's quite obviously built around the multiplayer mode they envisioned. These efforts have made the single player game too simple and linear, though, especially compared to the company's last few games - the story is not as engaging, the quests aren't as fulfilling, and the characters aren't as memorable.
